BEST VIEWS TO OPORTO FROM GAIA

HELLO YOU!

Well here we say the best view of Oporto is on the city of Gaia just on the other side of the river.

In my opinion there are three great viewing points on Gaia and here they are:

CAIS DE GAIA - RIVERSIDE ON GAIA

Where you see the star is a great place to take a picture

Just cross the lower deck of Dão Luis Brige and turn left and start going down. You have just at the turn of the bridge a kind of balcony where you can take fabulous pictures. Go on down... explore. Always straigth ahead and come back to the bridge. Here are some pictures. Make your own!!

If you go all the way til the end of the bars and restaurant areas you will find a roundabout. Go straight ahead until you see the begining of a wood path. Its not far. Take a look back. What a nice vision!

JARDIM DO MORRO - JUST AT END OF THE TOP TRAY OF THE BRIDGE


There are two ways to get to this point. The top tray of the bridge is the direct way. Just cross it by foot or go by Metro. And the hard way. Cross the lower tray of the bridge and go up to a street just in front of the brige. Lets see this option because the other is easy.

You have to be in shape because the of the inclination. There are three spots at the jardim do Morro where the stars are. Inside the garden. The city hall at this date is building a anfiatheater on the hill that is going to valorize this site. The next one is at the bar and the other one is on the corner to the bridge.

SERRA DO PILAR - GOING EVEN HIGHER??

Yeap just a more steps and you can have a higher view at the monastery of Serra do Pilar. Just follow the map . Its easy to get there from Jardim do Morro.

AHHH! By the way when you see your self on the upper tray of the bridge D. Luis try to find the pilar on the arches/niches below .
